SEE YOU AT THE REVIVAL: By which we mean, the third annual River Revival Bluegrass Festival taking place on King’s Bend in Cleveland, Ala., on the banks of the Locust Fork River. An outfit called Friends of the Locust Fork River has partnered with the Alabama Rivers Alliance to present the Sunday afternoon shindig, which will feature the near-perfect picking of local bluegrass master Glen Tolbert, as well as sweet sets by Jenny Leigh Obert, Who Shot Sally, The OxyMorons and The Embers. The afternoon also includes face-painting and crafts activities for children, an arts and crafts sale for grownups and festival food (funnel cakes, hot dogs and homemade ice cream) for all ages. The event runs from 1-6 p.m. Individual tickets cost $10 but a carload can get in for $25 and you’ll have more fun if you carpool anyway.
