What is “Mixed Media”? We’re still trying to figure that out. It’s a blog-type-thing. That much we know. We don’t yet want to call it a blog, because for now we’re not any good at blogging. We’re dead tree people. Ink-stained wretches. Reporters and editors. Boots on the ground.

Our problem is that we work at a weekly newspaper. Every now and again, we find out something incredibly juicy, even before the big boys over at the Evil Empire. Or sometimes somebody in the office will come up with a really great fart joke we want to share with the rest of the planet. Either way, we have to wait a week or longer before we can print it — in which case, either the Evil Empire has discovered our secret scoop or we forgot why the fart joke was so funny to begin with. Maybe you just had to be there.

But now we have this thing, whatever it is. The plan, if we can call it a plan, is for Glenny Brock, Phillip Jordan and Kyle Whitmire and other Weekly folks to post something here — Arts, Culture, Politics, Fashion & Fart Jokes — things that should be interesting enough and frequent enough to keep you coming back.
