Thoughts are the fastest known form of energy, says Palo Pallas.

In the beginning was the word, she continues, and words are symbols for the energy of our thoughts.

As our thoughts affect reality, words must be used correctly. So goes the logic for Palo Pallas´ series of artwork, Think Thoughts Thoughtfully.

Thinking is creation for an artist who recreated herself in the name of a warrior goddess attuned to the world of spirits and theoretical physics.

She doesn´t mean to disprove the adage, "You are what you eat." After all, the food we eat is the source of the energy that produces our thoughts, if not the energy produced in turn by them.

Her Spirit Sticks are exactly that, sticks stripped from trees and worked and turned like a mandala to reveal and release the spirit that is in them.

Her Reading Chairs similarly unleash the spirit of the thoughts reduced to writing, the symbols of energy in books, and the personality of the author.

The Reading Chairs replicate many traits unique to the author. The Emily Dickinson Reading Chair, for example, includes the door the reclusive writer used to shut the world out--with a doorknob on one side only so only she could decide to open it to visitors. Her handwritten notes are written on every kind of paper, in variable handwriting true to life, and wrapped in twine as she left her poems for posterity to find them. A bouquet from the garden she loved accompanies the poem that plumbs the thinking of nature.
