Director Rupert Murray’s film The End of the Line, supposedly the first major documentary regarding the devastating impact of overfishing on the oceans, had its premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The series of webisodes was created by Murray in order to, as a press release puts it, take “viewers behind the scenes and deeper into the issues being raised” by the film. According to the site, The End of the Line has been endorsed received marketing support from National Geographic, Greenpeace and the Waitt Family Foundation.
