It’s shaping up to be a barbecue-filled weekend – not only will Habitat for Humanity of Greater Birmingham host a BBQ competition and festival (Saturday, June 6 from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the organization’s ReStore in Irondale) but United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham will present Chappy’s Luau & BBQ Bash.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 from 2-7 p.m. at 2126 Blue Ridge Blvd. in Bluff Park and will include an adult tricycle race, children’s activities, a super slip ‘n’ slide, silent auction and live music by Pharmhand.
Attendees can also enjoy free barbecue from Jim ‘N Nick’s, in addition to wine, beer and margaritas.
United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham provides programs and services for more than 2,000 children and adults with disabilities in Birmingham and 10 surrounding counties.
