Green is on everybody’s lips these days, whether it’s because they are environmentally conscious or they’ve been drinking too much green beer. Now, thanks to Clover Crawl: Green Home & Garden Expo 2011, made possible by the Green Resource Center for Alabama, you too can get in on the green action. This annual green expo, which showcases the latest trends in green products and services for your home, office and garden, returns to the Vulcan Park & Museum on Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Admission to the event is free, so there’s never been a better time to be earth conscious and have a good time. The vendors will have lots of green products for you to sample, and the environmental organizations will have tables with informa tion about what they’re doing in the community and how people can get involved.
Activities for the kids presented by Young Rembrandts will keep the little ones occupied while you enjoy live music and food from Café Iz. Exhibits will feature information, resources, products and services about energy, water, waste and recycling, homebuilding and remodeling, food and clothing, transportation, yard and garden, recreation and leisure, household products and practices, education and lifestyle.
Electronics recycling and paper shredding services, provided by Technical Knock Out and Cintas Document Management respectively, will be available on-site.
