We know that snow is on the ground and ice is on your windshield, but it won’t be long until music is in the air and sand is in your toes. The 2nd annual Hangout Music Festival is set for May 20-22 on the beach of Gulf Shores and you are sure to be impressed by its diverse artist lineup. Confirmed acts for this year’s festival include Paul Simon, Widespread Panic, The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Cee-Lo, Ween and Amos Lee among numerous others. New to this year’s event are a skybar with 360-degree views of the festival, a saltwater lagoon surrounded by hammocks and shade trees, a resort-style in-ground pool with views of the main stage and late-night DJ sets. And unlike many festivals that only offer camping accommodations, the Hangout Festival sits among thousands of condominiums within walking distance of the event.
Three-day passes are $174, VIP passes are $525 and “Big Kahuna” (super VIP) passes are $900. “Big Kahuna” passes include special viewing areas, a special entrance, free bar, VIP parking, concierge service, pool, golf cart service, air-conditioned restrooms and more.
