That probably sounds stupid. Whatís actually happening is this: PlantMyPhone has launched this thing called the PlantMyPhone Campus Challenge to get college students to recycle their old cell phones with PlantMyPhone. After receiving the phone, PlantMyPhone will sell your old phone and plant as many trees as it can with the money made from the sale. Every phone is worth at least one tree, and they are, on average, worth 15.
The goal of the campaign is to plant one million trees by Earth Day 2011. If most cell phones are worth 15 trees, then theyíll need about 66,667 phones, which seems possible. Good luck to Ďem. You donít have to be in college to help. Find out more about the program at
