Out of 43 cities evaluated by the Business Courier of Cincinnati, the Magic City came in 38th place, according to a report in the Birmingham Business Journal.
Not great, but we could have done worse. Where did we go astray? Not surprisingly, use of public transit was a problem–we came in next to last on that category. We also didn’t shine in amount of sprawl (37th place) or number of LEED-certified building projects (31st).
Where did we do well? Green jobs! We came in 22nd out of 43 in that category. We also did okay in–and this will surprise you–travel time. I know, I know, that’s hard to believe, but somehow we managed to make it to 29th place in that category. Good job? Kinda, sorta?
