LET’S DO LUNCH: Wanna help out the Cahaba River Society, an organization that works to restore and protect the Cahaba River watershed (that’s us, by the way)? You can, and it’s as easy as eating lunch. Or dinner. Just head down to Nabeel’s Café in Homewood sometime Wednesday, Feb. 3, between 10:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., order a Camel Rider or one of Nabeel’s other delicious Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and eat. When you pay your tab, mention to the cashier that you support the Cahaba River Society, and 10 percent of your tab will be donated to CRS! It’s really that simple. To make it easier, invite a bunch of friends to eat with you and tell them about the CRS deal, and tell them to remind you about it at the cash register. Then remind them about it! Voila! You’ve easily multiplied your donation.
