Do you want to make your kid go to sleep so you can mix a cocktail and watch Weeds? You could try Melita Doostan’s new CD Earth Dream Lullabies: Soothing Songs for an Awakening Generation.
The Berkeley, Calif., musician uses lullabies to, as she puts it in a news release, “inspire in children of all ages a sense of the sacred in nature and evoke a feeling of awe for the mystery of the universe and our place in it.”
The CD relies on such acoustic instruments as guitar, flute, tablas and mandolin, and features vocals that, according to the release, “can best be described as heavenly.”
