Editor's note -- Our pop-savvy eco-writer Madison Underwood wants to share, in his own inimitable fashion, the happy news that Green Space now has a fan page at Bookface, or Facebook. Viewers of the smash-hit NBC-TV comedy "The Office" (particularly the recent "Koi Pond" episode) will be charmed, I'm sure. But, stand in line, because Madison has charmed us all.
NOW ON BOOKFACE: In this business, it’s extremely important to connect with your readers. Actually, for us, it’s not. Since our paper is free and we get our money from folks who advertise in our paper (thanks!), it’s extremely important for us to connect with our advertisers. But, we just plain like our readers, and we want to connect with them. I guess we figure if you like us enough to read us, you’re probably pretty awesome. Either that or you’re putting together a case file for the FBI. If that’s the case, then all threats made against public figures were meant as satire. And we know how to make that argument — we’re English majors.
Anyway, because we want to connect with you folks, Jesse Chambers has taken the time to set up a “page” for Green Space on the social networking tool known as Facebook. From our Facebook fan page, we’ll share our Green Space stories, which you can then comment on and share with your friends. Or you can rag on us. Or you can give us tips (we’re always looking for cool green events, travesties, tragedies, impending disasters, disasters long ignored, wheeling and dealing, etc.). Whatever. We want it all.
If you log into your Facebook account and search for “BhamWeekly Green Space,” I feel confident you’ll be able to find us. Once you do, become a fan of BhamWeekly Green Space. It will make your life more fulfilling. We’ll be the biscotti to your coffee, the sugar to your spice, the Al Green greatest hits album to your lovemaking.
So come check us out, and we’ll be there for you.
